But here on Better Worlds, we only post GOOD news. So why are we posting about Chik-fil-A?
Because:
Chick-Fil-A has reportedly stated it will no longer donate to anti-gay organizations or groups that actively oppose same-sex marriage.
And that, folks, is proof that applying social and economic pressure to corporations CAN and WILL make them change.
Congratulations to all the people who forced Chik-fil-A’s hand.

The problem with this is that you need to read the fine, detailed print from their press releases. Yes, they’re no longer going to donate to anti-gay funds… With the money that they specifically take for donations through their charity programs. That doesn’t mean they won’t still donate it with the profit they make from the restaurants themselves, since that money isn’t directly accounted for in their ‘charity’ programs. =/
Yes, they’re feeling the pressure… And that’s why they’re turning underhanded tricks to get their customers to come back. I’m still refusing to eat there, myself— Because that just makes them even more wicked in my eyes.
